Kunekune Pig!

Wow!! I have not made a post in a while! But trust me, I have not stopped building.

In September I started my dream job as an art teacher. So since then all of my focus has on writing lesson plans and prepping art projects. You can see videos of my lessons that use puppetry on my ART BLOG by clicking HERE!!!

This build "Kunekune Pig" was a commission I finished up in early October. They order two identical puppets. The character is for a production company in New Zealand that is creating a new children's show that features a human chef teaching a cooking lesson to his pig sidekick who will be causing mischief in the kitchen.

Fun fact:
New Zealand Kunekune pigs are friendly, hairy pigs born in a variety of colors. It is the smallest domesticated breed of pig in the world, a firm favorite among pet pig owners, due to its placid friendly nature and love of human company.

"Scrap" for Cameron Garrity

I was asked by a good friend of mine, Cameron Garrity, to rebuild one of his signature characters named James M. Scrapladder "Scrap". Here is what he looked like before.
We decided that we wanted the new Scrap would have a cleaner look.

Here are some pics of the process.

Side by side. Checking the eye levels.

And the finished puppet!
Really happy with how he turned out!
